Techs will spool wire, apply wire sleeving, assemble wire harness bundles and cable wires through repetitive tasks using both hand tools and industrial machines, while ensuring all work is done to specification.

    Termination Technician

    Position Purpose and Objective

    The primary function of this position is to assemble wire harness bundles through repetitive tasks using hand tools, while simultaneously ensuring all work is done to specification.

    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

    • Layout – Routing of wiring bundles on a form board, cutting to specific length, hand cabling of wire bundle to specified lay ratios, installing IDs at specified lengths
    • Strip/Crimp – Stripping back wire at specified lengths and crimping on contacts/wire lugs, use various hand-operated or automated tools to perform strip/crimp tasks
    • Solder Sleeves – Stripping shielded and/or jacketed wire to specified length, exposing shield and/or inner conductor, installing solder sleeves, which may or may not include jumper wire
    • Insertion – Inserting crimped and empty contacts into various types of connectors, ensuring proper seating and checking retention
    • Torque – Tightening connector assemblies and backshells to torque specifications
    • Tape – Installing miscellaneous types and widths of tape by machine or by hand to meet specified overlap requirements
    • Close/Band – Installing miscellaneous types of bands to secure shield and/or metal overbraiding to connectors and backshells
    • Develop an understanding of the principles of continuity and operation of test equipment
    • Perform all duties in accordance with Vermillion Quality Management System and Safety standards, using situation-appropriate tools and protective equipment
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE

    The primary function of this position is the fabrication of bulk cable material for internal and external customers through operation of various machines and use of various hand tools.

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES                 

    • Set-up, operate, and adjust machines as required to complete duties listed below
    • Bulk Re-Spool – Spool product/wire to specified spools and clean shielded/jacketed material in preparation for next operation; prepare bulk product for inventory or final inspection
    • Sleeving – Pull bulk material through sleeving or protective jacketing by using air nozzles and bullets to expand sleeving for application
    • Tape – Install miscellaneous types/widths of tape by machine or by hand to meet specified requirements
    • Develop an understanding of the principles of continuity and operation of related test equipment
    • Develop an understanding of the principles of spark testing and the operation of related test equipment
    • Striper – Apply color stripes to individual wires to meet specified requirements
    • Wardwell – Apply metal and poly materials to cables to meet specified requirements
    • Cabler – Combine a defined number (two to fifty four) of individual wires by cabling them together into a lay that meets specified requirements
    • Twinner – Combine two to four individual wires by twisting them together into a lay that meets the specified requirements
    • Butt Braider – Apply metal and poly materials to cables with multiple breakouts to meet specified requirements
    • Materials Re-Spool – Roll or flatten various types of materials for re-spool in support of Butt Braider and Wardwell operations
    • Extruder – Apply outer jacket and insulation on to cables of various diameters using various materials, to specified requirements
    • Train/mentor other employees on various tasks to be performed in a specific timeframe, without sacrificing quality
    • Perform all duties in accordance with Vermillion Quality Management System and Safety standards, using situation-appropriate tools and protective equipment
    • Perform other duties as assigned

The primary function is to to perform administrative and reception duties, such as answering incoming calls and greeting visitors.  This position is responsible for various administrative tasks on a regular and/or an as-needed basis.  This position is also responsible for clerical assistance to Vermillion’s President, Customer Service, and other departments, as necessary.

    • Answer incoming phone calls promptly; assisting callers or redirecting to the appropriate destination

    Description:

    Vermillion Incorporated, a leader in interconnect cable solutions for the military and aerospace industries, is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Supervisor to fill 1st shift opening in our manufacturing facility. The primary function is to ensure incoming and outgoing product quality by overseeing the receiving and shipping departments.  This includes reviewing both product and documentation to ensure customer quality and delivery requirements are met.  This is accomplished through interaction with multiple internal departments, as well as suppliers, customers and source inspectors.

    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

    • Confer with Quality Assurance Manager to resolve quality concerns with incoming shipments, including both product and documentation issues
    • Confer with Quality Assurance Manager to establish quality criteria and inspection plans, as applicable, for incoming and outgoing shipments
    • Ensures outgoing shipments meet all customer requirements, including product, shipping methods, dates, and documentation
    • Ensures product in the shipping area is shipped according to customer delivery date requirements
    • Schedule and interface with customer and government source inspectors, as applicable
    • Interface with various customer portals to schedule and/or record shipments
    • Interface with transportation providers, on the customer’s and company’s behalf
    • Analyze and resolve customer purchase order or documentation issues
    • Analyze and resolve incoming/shipping/inventory quantity discrepancies
