About the Role
As a Client Support Administrator, you will be the frontline IT resource for Vermillion end-users, ensuring efficient and effective resolution of technical issues. Your primary responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware, software, and network connectivity problems, managing support tickets, and providing excellent customer service to non-technical users. You will also handle the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of end-user devices, ensuring all systems adhere to organizational IT standards. By delivering solutions and guidance, you will play a vital role in maintaining operational efficiency and preventing future issues through proactive support.
About You
You are a skilled and service-oriented IT professional with a proven ability to resolve technical challenges in both office and manufacturing environments. With a strong understanding of network administration and security principles, you are comfortable handling tasks like configuring devices, running network wiring, and troubleshooting connectivity issues. Your excellent communication skills enable you to translate technical concepts into clear, actionable steps for non-technical users. Certifications like CompTIA or Microsoft are a plus, showcasing your commitment to professional growth. Dependable, detail-oriented, and solution-focused, you excel in collaborative and independent roles while delivering top-notch client support.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact (IT helpdesk) for Vermillion end-users to provide technical assistance.
- Create or assist users with the creation of support tickets.
- Differentiate and handle Break/Fix issues versus Change Requests.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic issues related to computers, applications, systems, devices, access, or equipment performance.
- Follow established procedures to document, track, and resolve reported problems.
- Research, troubleshoot, and deliver solutions using product information or solution databases.
- Provide users with guidance, steps, and recommendations to resolve issues and prevent future occurrences, including relevant documentation as needed.
- Install approved software on systems as required.
- Configure and deploy new end-user devices (e.g., computers and printers) to the Vermillion network in accordance with established processes.
- Troubleshoot and repair network connectivity issues, including connecting and deploying new systems to the network.
- Perform routine checklists to ensure critical software on end-user systems is functioning correctly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Proficient in providing technical and desktop support in both office and manufacturing environments.
- CompTia, Microsoft, and other certifications a plus.
- Solid understanding of network administration principles.
- Working knowledge of network security principles.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users.
- Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
- Capable of running network wiring and creating/repairing reliable LAN terminations, which may require small spaces and heights.
- Dependability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
